The only drawback is the capsule oil is sometimes a little sticky. It's definitely more potent than the commercial oils and works much better. I didn't use it for scars, but instead rub a little on the fingernails and surrounding skin to strengthen nails and reduce hangnails and cuts on my fingers. -Barb I'll second your second! I've used it for my nails & cuts, etc., as well, but I stick by the stuff in the bottle, for exactly the same reason. Number 1, it's the same exact stuff that you get in the gel capsules, chemically, (you have to get the natural & pure stuff) & Number 2, I can't count how many times I've stuck myself, opening the capsules with the pin!!!! It sorta then, defeats the purpose!!!!! So, it's by the bottle for me. Each to him own................
