Guest guest
Hi all, Thank you Lana, TJ, Patti, Bonnie and Cindy C. for your responses. As for my cold I can't take Drixoral, got Hives from it several years ago, can't take Actifed either, it put me into V. Tach and a trip to the ER years ago too. So I'm afraid to take anything but a little Arfrin nose spray. Thanks for your suggestions though. Eventually it will go away. Saw Orhto on Wed, He won't up my Oxycontin for pain, he's afraid,WHIMP! Won't give me a wheelchair, just a brace for my right knee, an ACL brace, I already have an instability brace for my left knee. I get it next Tuesday. I have to see an Orhto at town University Hospital for arthroscopic repair of the torn labrum in my right hip, then my Ortho will arthroscope my knees to repair them. I told him I do not want any surgery this summer, I need a break and time for my shoulders to heal and get stronger, he agreed. Still no results from NIH yet. Now, we have these big huge flying BUGS! Cicadas! They are noisy and eveywhere all of a sudden, in everything! One flew down my shirt yesterday, I came in the house screaming. They don't hurt you, but they are big, ugly and just awful! It sounds like something from the " Outer Limits " or the " Twilight Zone " outside. Send them to Osama! Much Love to all! Sincerely, S. Guest guest
I can't take any meds for cold either - one thing I have to be helpful is the homeopathic remedy ZICAM. Works best when used at the very begining of the cold. There is also one for allergies that has always worked for me. Can be found at places like Kmart and Target. Mostly I rely on chicken soup, sleep and time. Hot lemon water is always nice, too. Hope you feel better soon. I love to listen to cicadas - reminds me that I'm out in the country after 13 years of living in town, listening to trucks and such. Kids like to find their shells on the trees. > Oh ---- > > That would have been it for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Down my shirt (?) and it would have been a smashed, big, fat ugly bug. Guest guest
Hi , I was just reading online about Cicadas. Here's what it said: A newly emerged adult cicada dries its wings on a tree in Arlington, Virginia on May 12, 2004. Starting this week, across much of the eastern United States, from Georgia north to southern New York and as far west as Illinois, the cicadas will emerge from their 17 years of sucking on tree roots underground to engage in a two-week orgy of calling, mating, laying eggs and then dying. YUK! I probably would have had a heart attack if I was you! I feel for you! Hang in there and buy a BIG flyswatter!! LOL! Love Lana 0 :-)
