I think of our chiari family as a cradle that gently rocks me in it's desire to suport my wellbeing when I'm feeling challenged by what that days combo of chiari /ms /bifida stuff and other weird extras that came along with my other atributes . I'm amoung those with a special nitch in my house where my candles and incence burn with my prayers and hymns ( I love gospal harmony singing like BLUEGRASS so Rowans special hymm /tribute to Bill Monroe is amoung my FAVORITES ..but heck to I every ENJOY this wonderful opertunity to GIVE back to God THANKS for all that has been given to me through Wacma /ASAP and Wishes and Rainbows ...Pray and belief in Gods generous mercy in providing chiari care / special understanding of things like you also having factor X ( WOW ! ..) you and I challenge science beyond its bounds ...me with chiari and ms ..( the odd's like yours with factor X ...yet sciences ABILITY to sort that out and provide yet ANOTHER miricle in allowing your surgery safely ....We do have God there watching for our wellbeing . And your family of chiari folks everywhere =:::::: even here in Paradise - tehehehe ::::-- helping weave that net of God's love around those I know are facing chiari challenges at the moment . Know NOW as you enter the care and treatment from your physicians that WE will be praying for your wellbeing and God's guidance for your journey though healing . Will you hopefully be able to call one of us and let us know how your doing ? Or is there someone else who can post to us ? Also ...would you like to recieve cards from the ASAP circle of friends ? They are volunteers who like to send cards to help cheer folks up when they face any need for a bright happy reminder of our family . ...all I need is an " offlist /private " reply with your home address and your desire and they will be quite delighted to send you messages of hope /encouragment and well wishes ! ( kin folk/wacma family here can ask for cards for anyone else too so if you know of someone who'd like to recieve cards you can arrange in through writing to Gman or Judy Hunt at asap with that persons address /a bit about their situation if known and their desire to recieve cards / children may be sent small gifts on occation too .-- or let me know at wyvernnc@... --and I'll forward the request too . ) The circle of friends keep your name /address private ..its never shared beyond them . So prayers and wishes from around the world are with you now . Rest in God's hands as you enter healing knowing physicians and scientists have found a way to offer great improvment . in Paradise CA ...that " freeze dried hippie " ( see page one of the wacma photo album ..and add 5 yearls - LOL --- with incence and candles burning for you :-) Rowan singing his finest tribute to Bill Monroe ( see that dj who does a folk show each week can't resisit sneeking out now and then) -- even on the net :-) ....REMEMEBER MUSIC as you recover ..take some favorites with you and a small boombox tonight ...or have a friend bring some to the hospital in a day or too ...it breaks that boredom of TV / and masks that hospital bell ringin /hospital paging anoucements and hustle and rustle into uplifting /encourgaing /distracting you while you rest and start healing . Tonight when your settled in bed .... check with the dietary dept on the hospital phone ...most places you can write in almost ANYthing you can think off instead of what the menu sugests at any meal . I was astonished to find I could get GOOD bagels with creamchese ..frest fruit compotes and yummy muffins /expreso and lattes for breakfast each day ..Fresh grilled fish and rice /veggies with great rye breads / or faboulous pastas / or crab salad / with sauces of my choice ...chicken with honey glaze or Turkey with stuffing / it didn't matter what I thought off discussing it with the gal ..geesh truly you name it each day yourself and they brought it ! Tempt yourself packing ...take some hard candies to suck on if your mouth is dry from meds side effects /pack a few snacks /choclate bars and oreos-tehehe ....some GREAT lotion and your OWN pillow with bright pillow case /Good slipers and the boom box and aprepaid phone card to avoid those extra $3 charges to use your phone card when you call out of many hospitals ! Last ..and DO remember if it's 1 or 2 am and your awake ...ask your nurse if she has time for a back rub with your lotion ...at night shift there is often time for the nurse to DO nice things like help your shoulders muscles relax more ..it will FEEL good ..and you'll meet make a nice new friend :-) Write me at wyvernnc@... if I can send your address on to the circle of friends . Prayer said for you, your family and your docs. surgery tomorrow Hey Group, I would like to thank everyone of you for all of your support. You guys have been a life line and I know you will continue to be. I was diagnosed with Chiari back in August of 2002 and was totally clueless as to what was happening to me. I found ya'll and you have educated me so well. I wish I had time to write some of my friends personally that I have made through this site, but I cant. I go tomorrow for surgery at Duke University at 10:15, please say a prayer. and as soon as I can I will let you all know how I am. Again Thanks so much, and god Bless everyone of you.
