Guest guest
Glad it didn't hit your home!! I have no idea what drives someone to want to stand exposed so that they can film a deadly storm....or war for that matter! Must be another of those 'man' things since it is usually men who are doing it... :-) Do you have a basement for shelter? Sue

Guest guest
Must be another of those 'man' things since it is usually men who > are doing it... :-) > My parents have a picture of a tornado going up the street that my father took long ago. And I recall driving through Arizona heading right towards a tornado. My father was perfectly calm; he said it would be gone before we got to where it was which was true, but it still seemed loony to me. Guest guest
Leggs, I am glad all is OK. We have been getting a fair bit of news coverage over here regarding the tornado's and I was wandering if any of you guys were in their path. Take care, Jen

Guest guest
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I know there are still more tornados coming too. How are you guys holding up? Jacquie H Tornado! Closest call I've ever had in 49 years (38 of which have been in Kansas-Tornado Central) A tornado hit here at about 7:30 PM central time and damaged a bunch of homes about 3 miles west of us. The warnings were great-about 40 minutes out and sirens went off two different times. At tornado time, the local tv channel broadcasters went off the air to take cover (I have NEVER seen them do that!) and they said a tornado was on the ground at 33rd and Iowa. I live at about 27th and Iowa. I was scared shitless! And just guess where my dh was-outside filming! Idiotic men! They showed a guy on tv who was outside filming when he realized the tornado was on top of him. He hid in an outside storm tube that takes care of the overflow of water in rains. He looked happy to be alive. This is the second night of tornadoes in the area in the last week. Too close for comfort! Leggs
