I applied nothing to my scars and they healed up just fine. I get massage on a regular basis which I'm sure has helped break up the scar tissue underneath the incision, but the scar itself is just a fine white line. Just like those that have applied all sorts of creams and treatments to theirs ;-). Guest guest
Cindy's report is consistent with what I have read. Its not so much what you rub in, but that the area is massaged regularly. There is some detail on Mederma and other creams at this link http://www.ActiveJoints.com/postsurg.html Enjoy, - Re: Lets deal with the scar now. Guest guest
I've been doing this, but not sure if it helps any better than if I did nothing ...if I had two hips done I could have experiemnted by just putting the vit E on one, then we'd have a scientific comparison, sort of, but then who wants to have two that look different? Guest guest
For years I have used vit E oil (breaking the capsule)rubbing on wounds/cuts etc. after desinfecting with peroxide. Healing is often 2 times faster than without. I have a lot of experience with this because I have small injuries to my hands quite often hobbying or doing things around the house. Vit E also works sometimes on warts, spots or other skin inflictions. Ed > > > Hi Gang, > > Oviously I have little else to do but post all day. That'll > > change when I go back to work.
