Knee replacement is no small surgery as you can imagine and you are right to be cautious - the outcome of the surgery depends so much on what your expectations will be, if it is to stop dislocations, then this might be unrealistic as often the prosthesis can dislocate - it's the connecting structures that allow for the dislocations and hypermobility, not the bones. Having said that though, I do know that there are some here who have had TKR, so I hope one or two of them will step forward and say hello!
