Why Belgium

Hi Mark.

Since I've been living in Belgium 10 years now, please allow me a

few clarifications about this Country.

CARREFOUR does still exist and it's all over Belgium.

The story goes like this: 3/4 Years ago CARREFOUR (French gGiant in

the Supermarket arena, with outlkets all over Europe anymore) came

into the Belgian market and BOUGHT more than half of the pre-

existing (Belgian) GB Supermarket chain.

So, now you can find BOTH GB And Carrefour supermarkets here in

Belgium, depending on the different areas where you are.

But if you want a " third alternative " , my suggestion is to go to the

DELHAIZE Supermarket:)

Why in the world would you want to go to a Mc s when there are

just sooo many wonderful cafes and restaurants that will serve you

real & freshly made Belgian food??

I'm Italian, but if there's one thing I always avoid like the plague

when I'm not in Italy, that's precisely going to Italian fast food

places... simply cause, at least 99% of the times, THEY SUCK BIG

TIME! LOL

That's definitely a good idea. They sell pre-paid Belgacom sim-cards

allover here. They are called " Pay&Go " . However, keep one thing in

mind: unless you already have a TRI-BAND cellphone, which would work

also with European networks, you will have to by a European

cellphone as well, not just a Pay&Go sim-card.

That souns like a very good idea, indeed. When we have a chance, I

think it's only wise to use it to the full!
