Guest guest
Just an aside - but I read recently in Time that Mark Spitz is hypermobile - his knees hyperextend so he is able to get a bit extra push with them than most swimmers. Over the counter products for acid reflux usually aim at reducing the acid in your stomach - well, you need that acid to digest food properly. Also, rolaids, tums, etc use 'salts' to neutralize the acid and overuse of otc remedies can wreak havock with blood pressure.

Guest guest
, Thanks so much for the email about acid reflux. My husband's cousin was just diagnosed with it recently. She has been sick with a terrible cough since the beginning of July and just found out last week that she has pneumonia. I believe her illness was severely aggravated because she had acid reflux without knowing it (or else it was the thing that caused her to be ill?) I will share the article with her. Just this week I have been wondering if I might have acid reflux, because quite a few times this summer I have been awake in the middle of the night with that " heartburn or indigestion feeling " , and it doesn't necessarily happen after an unusually large or spicy meal. I need to see my doctor for some other problems I have developed over the summer, and I will definitely add this to my list of concerns. Your email came at just the right time for me! Cindy L. Guest guest
Cindy; Give Mike Uggen's method ( as outlined on the list) a try. It is far less expensive than meds and you don't have to introduce more chemicals into your body. It does work. Ask my daughter. Guest guest
I am wondering if there is any possibility that a photo be taken for us who have not yet had the honor of meeting mike. As a visual learner; a picture is worth a thousand words.
