My NT daughter's bitch of a 4th grade teacher pulled that shit on her

this year because she doesn't like Sami or me. I don't kiss her ass

and act like she's God. I treat her like a partner in my daughter's

education and it ticks her off to no end that I don't treat her with

awe. I don't care if her husband is a psychiatrist. OBVIOUSLY she's

not that great of a teacher or she'd be teaching at one of the snotty

schools closer to her husband's office instead of being out here in

the boonies with all of us unwashed, unintelligent red necks. :PPPP

crying day - long sob story

i had one yesterday. you know how it is - you are going merrily along

thinking this life's not so bad after and someone decides to piss on your

parade. well yesterday rowan's bitch of a teacher did a good job in

reminding me that my son, by no fault of his own, will have to put up

intolerance and ignorance for the rest of his life.

yesterday rowan's class was having a mother's day tea at 2 in the

afternoon. i arrived at his classroom at about 10 to 2. he wasn't there. i

asked mrs. day where he was. she said he had to be taken out of the

classroom because he was fussing and making too much noise. we have rule

that rowan is never taken out - obviously to avoid reinforcing the

behaviour - we have been over this a million times with mrs day. " michelle

we are about to have a concert here and he can't behave like that " she

said she had sent him to the principal's office with jason (college student

on placement) to phone me. it turns out rowan's regular aid was called out

on an emergency from her son's school. i went to the office they hadn't seen

rowan or jason. i tried the library and sure enough rowan and jason were

there curled up on the sofa reading a book. jason said rowan struggled and

complained for about 20 seconds about putting his shoes back on - that was

it. jason said mrs. day was all stressed about the possibility of rowan

continuing to make noise through the concert. these little shows are very

important to mrs day and she plans 2 or 3 a month. she expects the children

it gets worse..... rowan was scheduled to be " the special person " yesterday.

i am sure other classes have similar schemes - this child does attendance

and calendar etc and brings show and tell. the class gets to ask 5 W

questions for show and tell i.e what is it?, where did you get it? etc.

rowan and i practiced his answers the night before and again in the

morning - i wrote a little index card of prompts in case he got stuck. i

was so proud of him - he knew most of the answers before we even began to

practice. i was excited for his peers to see this - they are all so pleased

when rowan speaks. well, mrs day decided they didn't have time to do the

special person show and tell because some people were still struggling with

the mother's days songs and they needed more rehearsal time! wtf??? the

school day is 6 fucking hours long and she couldn't spare two minutes for

the little boy who had been arduously practicing for his special day?? any

other child would have asked " when do i get to do my show and tell? " she

took advantage of the fact that rowan cannot. i hate her!

we left. we didn't stick around for the concert. my mother's day gift is

still sitting on his desk. mrs day may find rowan to be a challenge but you

know what teaching is the challenge she chose and she is compensated for

this work. rowan has challenges too and he sure as hell didn't choose them.

she was very upset that we were leaving. i hope she lays awake at night

thinking about how disgustingly she behaved.
