Guest guest
, I don't recall that article but did find a few hydration calculators: http://www.brita.com/003i.html http://www.belmontsprings.com/learn_about_water/swg1340_hydcal.asp Jill Help, can't find info Hey all, There was recently a post on one of the EDS groups that included a formula to determine how much water you sould be drinking each day. I think it started from someone posting about lips being so dry they split and bled. I thought it was sent in CEDA, but I haven't been able to locate it with the message archive sesarch function. I also thought it was posted within the past week or so, but I could be wrong. Does anyone know what I am talking about and where I can find it? Thanks!!! Guest guest
Hi , AT EDNF I recently posted the two different doctors and one nutritionalist. Drink in ounces half your body weight in pounds. So 200 lbs becomes 100 ounces, 150 pounds becomes 100 ounces. That would make the usual 8- 8ounce glasses - which is 64 ounces - just right for someone weighing 128 pound. To me it makes sense that the more you weigh the more water you need to drink. I learned in school that 1 pound requires 1 mile of blood vessels to maintain - that's probably worth the extra 8 ounces. There is a book that has been highly recommended to me called 'Your Bodies Many Cries for Water " but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. (you really must get off her tea binge and back to water)
Guest guest
Duh! I checked all the yahoo groups, but it didn't occur to me to check the EDNF message boards to see if it was posted there!! Thanks! I thought the formula was slightly more complicated like take your body weight, subtract 30 then divide in half. Don't know what I'm thinking of, but at least weight divided by 2 is super easy to remember. I believe the post also said only water counted, not juice. Does gatorade count? Probably not... > Hi , > > AT EDNF I recently posted the two different doctors and one > nutritionalist. > > Drink in ounces half your body weight in pounds. Guest guest
Maybe it wasn't my post you saw - but like you said, at least mine is easy! Don't know if gatorade counts - but I don't think so. I do know that people who are strict don't count it. I count seltzer and mineral water and tap water that I squeeze lemon into. Did you check the sites Jill posted? I haven't yet ... > Duh! Guest guest
Unfortunately I haven't had a chance yet (but I did make sure I wrote down the info and know where to find it, this time!). Work was busy today and right now I'm going crazy trying to find plane ticket to Buffalo for a good price. I'm hoping to check them out by tomorrow. > > Did you check the sites Jill posted?
