Guest guest
I was told only on Thursday that my breastbone sticks out. my answer to this was OH! so I guess that explais why I always managed to catch my xiphoid (the bottom bit of the breast bone) on the edge of tables and benches really HURTING myself. SO I guess that could mean I have pectus carinatum although mine doesn't look like the picture it isn't that prominent. No body else has ever picked it up (it was my osteopath who noticed it). Sharon > Carinatum is also called " pigeon breast " where the breast bone curves out from the body. Excavatum means the breast bone sinks into the chest causing a " valley " > Re: pectus carinatum? > > > I don't know what pectus carinatum is...
