Hi Betty,

I'm so glad you had such a positive experience with the vascular

surgeon! I'm not sure it has to do with " being a specialst " as much

as the person 'inside the title'. Do you know what I mean? Being

open enough to consider every possibility, etc. Anyway, I'm sure

glad he's taking everything seriously and giving ideas that will

hopefully prevent some issues.

Also, I'm so glad you had a moving experience with the medium! I'm

so very glad! I would love to hear more about it - would you write

me at EDSLana@... and let me know some particulars? If you

remember, I'm the one who had a reading with . I'm happy

you got some confirmation! Thanks for sharing it. For me, I don't

expect anyone to accept all of it blindly - that would be ignorant

and leave yourself open to vulnerability - BUT, as you said, just to

have an open mind, and accept the POSSIBILITY that this can happen.

Take care of you and yours!

Love Lana

Betty,

Sorry this is late,

I'm so glad you had an initial appointment with the Vascular surgeon! This

is great to be proactive and get some baseline studies. The " D " drug you

spoke about, is it Doxycycline or something like that? I'd appreciate more

info on that if you have it. It is from the Tetracycline family of

antibiotics.Very interesting about the medium and your son!

Sincerely, S.

> Hi all,

> I just saw the vascular surgeon today for a consultation. I have nothing

wrong, but I am trying to proactive in my own health care and I took

everyones suggestion and got myself an appointment. He is a very nice guy,

he also happens to be the director of the vascular department. He knew

something about VEDS, but not nearly enough. I handed him the Emergency room

CD for VEDS and he was very appreciative of that. We talked about what tests

to have routinely and now that I think of what he said ...he was bang on. I

have an abdominal CT booked for next week which he is changing to a full

aortic as if it was just the ab CT he would only see a percentage of the

aorta. Makes sense to me. I guess that is the difference between a

specialist and the GP. It still blows me away that even he (the specialist)

says you don't look like an ED patient re: lack of stretchy skin etc.

URGHHHHHHHH! Neither my late son or I really showed any outside physical

characteristics of EDS. Nonetheless we still tested positive for VEDS. We

have not heard about our other son yet.

> On another subject .....I have talked to a few of you about myself going

to see a medium. (Skeptics and I know there are some of you out there, keep

an open mind). It was an extremely positive experience for my husband & I

and we really felt connected to our son. I have to admit that both my

husband & I still have some doubts, but some of the things she told

us...Whew!!! How could she know???? For instance 2 days before we went there

I recieved a phone call from a teacher of my late sons saying he was

thinking about us (on the 1st anniversary of Danny's death) and he wanted

to tell us what he thought of Danny, how much he missed him etc. Well the

medium said just that... you recieved aphone call from a male teacher of

your sons. There is no way she could have known that. First of all I only

told my son, husband & sister that lives 2000 miles away about the phone

call and the medium doesn't even have our last name or home number, just my

cell phone number. She also described a few things the night of Danny's

death etc. Anywway just wanted to share a few of those things.

> Oh yeah .....one more thing about the vascular doc...he said I should take

Udos oil (I think that is how you spell it.), and he also wants to put me on

an antibiotic for all the time, I think it is something like a tetracycline

but it begins with D. It is supposed to help strengthen the aortic walls.

Has anybody heard of either of these two things (the oil is supposed to be

really good for the vascular system

> Thanks as always for listening.
