Guest guest
Hiya folks! I just got done a week ago today. I'm on crutches for six weeks (which is going to be incredibly frustrating cos I'm positive I'd be fine without them now!) I'm going out on a couple of short walks a day at the moment but I'm noticing I'm swinging the right side of my pelvis to the left when I'm walking. Did anyone else out there have this prob? If so what did you do about it? ANy advice? I need to teach myself to walk correctly again! Cheers guys Morag right BHR (Treacy) 1/6/
Guest guest
Hi Morag, Congratulations on your first steps to recovery. Just follow the exercises and allow yourself time. You'll see progress each and every day. I reckon you should change your email name to " theladywithnopatience " LOL ;-) Regards, McMinn LBHR 11/99, RBHR 12/00 > Walking Straight Again > > > Hiya folks! > > I just got done a week ago today. Guest guest
Cheers Des! I was just worried that I wasn't doing something important that I was supposed to! > That's why you need crutches, dude! Guest guest
Hello, I am six months post op and I had the same problem. I had to point the pelvis in the opposite direction and almost bounce from my operated side. It has paid off and I now walk straight but it took some doing. I had however been waiting 8 years for the operation so hopefully you should get there sooner. Good luck, Jane

Guest guest
Keep using those crutches and allow yourself to recover. I'm 6 weeks post op and I'm now having " walking lessons " from my PT to get rid of the swing and the raised shoulder - hadn't realised I was even doing that! Hey, crutches are great when you go shopping as people will stand back and allow you go to the front of queues etc!!! Great in the supermarket! Good luck with your recovery - sounds like you are a speedy gonzales already Kay L BHR 23/ 4/ 04 Melb ( McMahon) theladywiththelimp morag.mcintosh@...> wrote: Hiya folks! Guest guest
Try finding a gym with a treadmill set up in front of a mirror. It's boring as all get out, but the fastest way going to train yourself back into a regular gait.--Griz > Hiya folks! > > I just got done a week ago today.
