Thanks Edith...Yes, I have tried the Corin site but no luck... I'll

just keep trying...I haven't a clue as to how long I have until the

inevitable surgical event but I'm just gonna keep on

researching...any other suggestions? I've been actively

participating in the Hip Universe web site but I'm not giving up on a

re-surfacing until I hear definitely that it's not for me...of course

my OS doesn't like re-surfacing nor do any OS's here in Memphis and

to make matters worse my husband is a physician whose allegiance

seems to be with the other physicians. I'm really struggling with

this...my life is very stressful anyway...without the hip thing going

on. Every day I think I'm at my low point and then ...the next day

comes and I slip down another notch...something's gotta change

here....

Sorry to hear all this............ as someone else suggested just contact

one of the big guys......... at least you will get a sane answer

there..........and Dr De Smet seems more than happy to just answer random

questions from reports here............

As for hubby and other OS.......... Well in countries like mine and UK all

this arguing about Resurfacing simply is disappearing......... The best in

my country says you simply do a Resurface if the bone is capable of taking

the prothesis and the patient young and healthy enough to keep it that

way.......... and a THR otherwise.......... As most of the doctors you are

dealing with may well have not even seen a new resurface how they have the

hide to advise is a mystery........... and I would have thought by now they

may be getting a little worried someone doesn't sue for not telling them the

truth about how other countries are finding the device.........i.e. working

well............ Sadly you will find though that there is an archive full of

poor advice from OS............ so you are not alone there........... YOu

simply just have to find the best and go ask...........

I and many others had to travel a fair way to get what we wanted...........

it is possible and I am sure you will succeed.........
