Guest guest
Houston, we have a problem. I've been dealing with Darren at Rustic Canyon and it seems he was not aware they could only have one large group per day at the park on weekends! He had put my name down next to the group of 40 and said a lady named Jan would be contacting me to take my deposit and make final arrangements. I didn't hear from her, so I tried to reach her several times and she finally called me today to tell me the bad news. I'm so disappointed because the location is so prime and the amenities unequaled for a park. Ok, no problem, make lemonade...I thought. There are lots of nice parks around here. So I go check out one...it's on a hill and parking is really bad. Then I go to another...the only picnic area left is practically in a ravine..you would need pack mules to get future hippies to the bathrooms. So now I'm afraid the reservable picnic areas at all the nice parks will be booked up by now...but, I'm still going to check out more tomorrow. I know it wouldn't be nearly as much fun, but how would you all feel if we met up at a restaurant if this gets too complicated? By the way, I did try to get a different day at Rustic but every single Saturday and Sunday is booked up until some time in September. Sorry about that...please stay tuned for updates.
