i read so many storys of people that have had there hips resurfaced

and it sounds great. i had left and right hip done in 2001 and

2002. i have never been out of pain. if i dont do much of anything

i am ok. i go see the dr. tomorrow to talk to him about this. the

surgery did not go well at all. has anyone else had problems? thank

You might want to read some of my posts lately. I am 6 and 1/2 months post op

and have never been out of pain (right BHR) and if I don't walk more than a

block it is not too bad but I have pain on exercising or if I try to bike up a

hill etc.

I had a bonescan and blood test for infection and nothing has shown up yet but I

still am not able to do much at all.

Had you talk to your doc before? and if you got the second one done it must mean

you had some satisfaction with the first one??

Because for me, I am still waiting to see how it goes with the first one before

decicing on another resurf for the second one.

It is amazing to hear about your pain and how long you have had it.

Where do you live-in the UK or US? Or somewhere else?

I have also had a lot of pain, although I only had my operation in

November and they have found that it is because of an infection. My pain

is mainly at night which is one reason they expected an infection. But

there are many other reasons for pain. It seems amazing that they have

not checked you various things before now. 2001 and 2002 is a long time

ago. There are also some others in this group that experience a lot of

pain. For one person, it seems that it may be a tissue problem and

seems to be slowly improving. Do let us know what your doctor says.
