I am soooooo looking forward to chasing my 4 year old boy (and my 17 month old girl) with my new hip when I have recovered enough. On a more personal level it gave me a big chunk of my heart back when I stepped off the first tee with my 8 year old son Sky and we both scampered down the fairway dancing hand in hand,it felt so good to be alive and be healed of the disease of arthritis. Guest guest
Art, Hi , So great to hear of your amazing success.27 holes walking a hilly course and without pain, wow! You are my beacon.I felt like I could have gone longer the other day but decided to be more conservative, especially since so many people from this site were conerned about too much too quick. I forgot to tell how meaningful it was to walk again with my golfing brotherhood, some of the preminent senior players in Montery Bay.They perhaps as well as anybody, were witness to how dibilitating the disease had been to myself and my game.To walk alongside them again was a real thrill. As for me and the game itself, it's alot about goin for a walk through the woods with a bunch of guys who are truly masterful at what they do.To be in the prescence of the zone is so wonderful. We took out one of our best friends ,a scratch 59 year old marvel who gets nervous in tournaments and never does very well. It was his birthday, so we bought him a bourbon and cofee on the 3rd hole. He immediately became more relaxed and even a bit giddy. He proceeded to shoot 69 on a difficult course in the wind. SO who knows maybe this tip might help your game.If you start shooting par but become an alcoholic in the process you can't hold me responsible.
