Donna...

Haven't seen much traffic on the July 31 resurf potluck. Is it still

on? If it is, I'll be driving down from San Francisco. Wouldn't

want to miss this one. If it's okay, I'll bring a good friend who's

not family...but could be one day.

She's in Long Beach, and I think I could probably bring a fruit salad

or a broccoli salad.

Let me know...

All the best..

Hi Alan. Yes, the potluck is still on! So far, there are 10-12 of

us, not including friends and families. As it gets closer, I'll ask

for an exact count and let you know how much broccoli to bring :-)!

I make a mean batch of beans, but you pretty much need an Iron gut

to survive them. Lots of jalpenos in the mix. So maybe should just

bring plates and forks or something.

Hey Chris...since I don't know how many people in this group have iron guts,

perhaps

you could tone it down or let people add their own jalapenos if that doesn't

compromise your recipe too much? Just a thought. They sound great, though, and

thanks for offering. Donna

Donna,

I can do that. I usually have to when my family comes over for

dinner. My folks are in their seventies, and I'd hate to be

responsible for their demise on acoount of my beans. They really are

quite tasty, with my special blend of herbs and spices. I'll plan on

it then, but I'll need to know for how many.

to LA, just to be a part if that cool HIPPY-JAM-SESSION in the Park!!

*LOL*

Just kidding... Actually, I already planned a 10 day pre-op vacation

in Italy, so that's where I will really be on July 31st:)

Donna...

We've talked about this in non-posted e-mails, but let me make it

official I'll be there with a guest. And I'll be the

waterboy...bringing more than enough to put out the fire from Mr.

Roche's beans.

I've said this to you...separately, but let me also say it in public,

too... KEEP TRACK OF WHAT YOU SPEND ON THIS. We'll make you whole

before we leave the park.

Well, hmmm...Ms. Donna...the tennis & basketball are great for those

post-hippies...that won't be me though! ;o)

P.S. Can't wait! It'll more than likely be just me, but I'll email

ya next week when I'm back in town. Right now I'm with UT (my hero

who's coming w/ me to Belgium...:o) ) ...in CT/NY!

Till soon hippies!

Do we need a list of what to bring? I could bring charcoal, lighter

fluid and some hot dogs or something?

Sorry, I left my list of attendees at a friend's so couldn't send emails out for

a head

count. I'll be doing that as soon as I get my list back and we'll discuss what

to bring.

I'm open to any and all suggestions, but as far as I'm concerned, you should

make it

as easy on yourselves as possible (Costco)...it's mostly about meeting each

other,

swapping stories, and celebrating our new hips! Donna
