Joyce,

These are the entries from the glossary of " The Arthritis Cure " , (Dr.

Theo's first book...

" Glucosamine: The key substance that determines how many proteoglycan

(water-holding) molecules are formed in the cartilage. The greater

the amount of glucosamines, the greater the amount of proteoglycans. "

" Chondroitin sulfates: Naturally occurring substances that inhibit

the enzymes that can degrade cartilage, while helping to attract

fluid to the proteoglycan molecules. "

It is his contention that the two substances do, indeed complement

each other.

My Avasoy label indicates 60 mg of Vitamin C; 30 IU of Vitamin E; 2

mg of Manganese; 1500 mg of Glucosamine; and 300 mg of the ASU as

mentioned in the earlier post today.

It does seem to me that I don't notice an obvious change when I take

the stuff...but I do notice that I don't feel as good when I don't

take it for a few days. Could be real; could be placebo... but hey,

as a child of the '60's, I always say...feel as good as you can, any

way you can.

All the best...

Alan

website, that

chondrioton.
