Guest guest
Thank you Jill and Jo!!! It has been and will be a long night tonight and long day tomorow. Its already late and I've been up researching and trying to be prepared for 'anything'. I just found a group on yahoo for people with dogs with ortho problems (acl tears to fractures) so I'm really hoping to get some support and suggestions from that group. It's over 2000 members so hopefully I'll come across someone with some suggestions. I'll let you all know how I do when my little one comes home! Thanks so much for the support gals and not telling me I'm a silly fuss pot who should just 'get a new dog'. Big (((HUGS))) and I hope you two have an easier week or two coming up! -Rhea

I hope people are not telling you this! She is as precious to you as a child would be I am sure. I know you are young but you know what I mean! You just keep looking and researching and keeping the prayers flowing and I am sure Raffi will be just great. No matter what the outcome of his leg, he is still your beloved and very unique family member. I will say a prayer for Raffi tonight. I am sure God listens to prayers for animals too. I am SURE of it! Debbi Re: Another Raffi update--so far so good Thank you Jill and Jo!!! It has been and will be a long night tonight and long day tomorow. Guest guest
Rhea - I am so glad that Raffi came thru his surgery well and I hope that he heals fast (which I am sure he will once he is in his own home!!) Love, Patti Another Raffi update--so far so good I couldn't stand it any longer. At 4pm Mom called the vet. " Raffi came through the surgery well. He is awake, on fluids, and resting comfortably. Pick up will be 5.30 pm tomorow evening. " They were just looking at his x-rays when she called so I guess we won't find out how they looked until we pick the little lad up. Its going to be a long day tomorow too putting in time before we can get him. That's the news as of now!!! Thanks so much for the support while we try to get the little guy through this. Sure has been scarey. Here's hoping that the pin holds and that his little bones knit good and strong!!!! -Rhea To learn more about EDS, visit our website: http://www.ehlersdanlos.ca

Guest guest
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! It is beyond me how some can think that way. It is understandable if the animal is very ill and you simply cant afford the vet bills and you cant find a new owner but aside from that... Well, I am glad he is coming home. I am sure he will heal well when he is in your arms. Do they give dogs post op pain medication? Debbi Re: Another Raffi update--so far so good Thank you Debi! You are too sweet. Guest guest
Rhea, I'm so sorry to hear Raffi's leg hadn't healed, and he needed to have surgery. It's so good to hear he came through the surgery well, and will be coming tonight. I'm thinking of you and how happy he'll be to once again be back home with you and your family.
