Guest guest
I was delighted to see your contribution to the migrant health listserv, because it provides a current address for you. The one I had didn't work. About a week ago, I tried to send this message to you along with Lynden Baum and Ernest Arvizu: I've committed to coordinating a pesticide workshop at the Western Migrant Stream Forum when it convenes in Sacramento this coming February. My goal, apart from getting these people to think about pesticides, is to identify resources for them to consult when need arises--and of course, to remind them that they should report such conditions. In the session description, I promise to describe " published, web-based, and human resources " . I plan to display copies of 'Recognition and Management' and of the California 'Guidelines for Physicians', as well as some more specialized agrochemical and toxicological references. Do your states publish guides to specific local requirements? If so, can I get copies? Do you have preferred resources on the Internet or elsewhere that you recommend to clinicians? I'd also like to provide a summary of reporting requirements. Would you please explain what doctors are supposed to do if they recognize a pesticide poisoning in your jurisdictions? Thanks for any and all suggestions ----------end of old message--------- Now that the schedule is out, I see my proposal has been combined with five others into a monster session, the upshot of which is currently uncertain. I'd still like to provide information about how to report in each state, though.
