Guest guest
I would like to update you all on my son's progress: We have been GFCF since probably March of 2001, were started on enzymes with our DAN doctor in Sep but did not start taking with every meal until Dec. My son is still showing lots of behavior that we have not seen in many many months! (In a way, I am glad my DH can see how well the diet has been working). We just got our 2nd tests results back with the DAN doctor: all of the toxic metals are well within range. He did two different types of testing, one was the stool sample and the other was a urine test. We also found out that there doesn't seem to be any kind of yeast problem. The Dan doctor did two tests with this too. One test was the stool and the other was a blood test. The blood test did show some " parasites " that we knew were there. Doctor said that there are usually some in everyone but my son has quite a few more. We have been treating this with olive leaf extract twice a day and will go back to re-test in about 3 more weeks. I just want to make sure I am covering all bases at this point in the game! My son is going to be 10 in Jan and I HOPE to see some improvement within the next couple of weeks from the enzymes. Where we haven't seen much in the " stimming " department lately (since the enzymes he has done ALOT of stimming!). There seems to be something there that just needs some fine tuning... I am still trying to figure out how to get them into his lunch at school - if I put them in his lunch bag with a ice pack, they should be good for 4 hours, right? He leaves for school at 8:00 and eats lunch at 12:00 noon. Yikes! that is really cutting it close! I guess I am really nervous to have him go to school next week and not have any control on the enzymes. Any thoughts on that or are there other areas I am overlooking? Thank you so much!
