Xeloda vs. 5fu/lv infusion

Hi,

My wife, Debbie, has stage IV crc that was diagnosed 4-11-05. She is

44 years old. Debbie has been getting an infusion of Avastin &

Oxaliplatin, followed by 14 days of Xeloda and a week off. She has

had three complete rounds. Thursday morning (6-28) would have been her

last dose of Xeloda for the fourth round, but she had to quit taking

it this morning due to the hand and foot syndrome. From what her Onc

told us, the hand and foot syndrome isn't an issue with the 48 hour

5fu/lv infusion. Has anyone out there taken both? Debbie is very

scared to take the 5fu/lv infusion, and would like to hear from

someone that has.
