Guest guest
Thanks, Terry. I like that combo too. We had a massive list with every possible combination of all the names we liked and kept narrowing it down until we got to the list of six I posted. I'm sure we missed several good ones, including Weston Craig--I'll have to add that one to the list of possibilities. When my husband was a child, he loved the song " The First Noel " and I thought it would be cool to use Noel as a name. However, I do like it better for a girl's name since it's spelled Noelle and pronounced like the song. I think we might save it for next time in case we have a girl. Thanks for your input! Guest guest
Wow! Jen, what a family! I love several names on your list, especially Riley and Garret. Raine is one of my all time favorites, especially having hippie tendencies and living in the Northwest. seems to think Raine is more of a girl's name though, so I'm trying to convince him it's a great guy's name too. Thanks for your suggestions. There were lots of great names I hadn't thought of. Peace, Tori In a message dated 2/21/2003 1:02:39 PM Pacific Standard Time, jenlevi@... writes: > How exciting!!! Guest guest
That would be lovely. We had decided on Berkley with either Noelle or Raine as a middle name if we were to have a girl. Poor wants a girl, so I guess we'll see what happens in a few years. He wants to be the favorite and sees how much girls love their daddies! I've felt that it's a boy the whole time. I had a dream early in the pregnancy and saw the baby's face so vividly--it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Oh, here I go crying again! Guest guest
Thanks, Jody. I'm so happy, I've given up on getting anything done today other than crying :-) picked the name Quinn and it's really starting to grow on me. Each time I think I've settled on a name I like best, another jumps out at me! Guest guest
I'm still in hormone induced la la land. I haven't started thinking of the baby ever misbehaving and warranting my yelling at him. I'm picturing his name on a resume, wedding invitation, Presidential ballot...I'm also thinking of calling out his nick name to come inside from playing. Yelling just hasn't crossed my mind yet ;-) Unfortunately, our last name is , so everyone will end up calling him , no matter what his first name is. You'd think with a name like Tori , people would understand that Tori is my first name, but records always seem to get filed under Tori. Guest guest
I am also from the northwest:). I realized after searching for names for my kids that there is a BROAD range of opinions on names. No matter what others think, you pick a name you love. I have heard people say they feel sorry for some kids because of there names or they are going to have problems because of teasing...I always thought it strange that someone would think a name could determine someones emotional/mental wellbeing. anyway...I am getting all kinds of great name Ideas! I love India and Vienna. As far as names for either Gender, that is kind of hard, because it is trendy to name girls boy names right now. I have heard of girls named ,Landon and of course Riley took off as a girls name. Re: OT -- It's a boy!!!!! > Wow! Jen, what a family! Guest guest
Tori - Congrats! I'm so excited that your ultrasound went OK and the news about it being a boy is just icing on the cake! I'm so thrilled things are going well for you and the little one! I like all your name suggestions. Sometimes when you see the little guy for the first time, he just " looks " like one of the names you've got in mind. Guest guest
Tori!!! What exciting news!!! All the names are great, pick one you both love and don't let a single other person tell you what they think about it. In fact, my advice would be to pick a name and then not tell anyone what it is until the baby is born and named. You wouldn't believe how many people will try to ruin a name that you love - like art, it's all subjective, just do what you and your husband think is right! (Obviously I have a mother-in-law story here about naming our kid, but it's not worth retelling, I'm so over it Oh yeah, the nice thing about picking a name now, and knowing the sex, is that you can start using the name when you talk and read to " it " - when Luke was born we had already been calling him Luke for months and he really did look like a Luke to us - it fit him.
