Guest guest
If anyone has any references on transportation accidents involving farmworkers I would appreciate seeing them or getting the reference so I can look it up. Mimi was good enough to furnish me with plenty of articles about the Aug. 99 accident in California. I remember some time before that an accident in Colorado? If you do have this either electronically or in paper format I would appreciate seeing it. Thanks! asteege@... 513-841-4538 PS The egroups archive of the listserve is great but didn't have what I was looking for.
Guest guest
There was an accident in Lake County Florida in which migrant farmworkers were killed in a van driven by a crew chief in about 1988 or 1989. I remember the case because Florida Rural Legal Services was successful in having charges brought against not only the crew chief, but also the farm that had hired the crew. Guest guest
another way of potentially finding out about accidents involving farmworkers (particulary if death was the outcome) is to contact the Mexican Consulates. They often have to deal with the legal issues of notifying familes and issueing documentation if the body needs to be transported to Mexico (if the deceased is a mexican national). -----Original Message----- From: Rust [mailto:rustg@...] Sent: Tuesday, February 20, 2001 6:08 PM Subject: Re: [ ] references on transportation accidents involving farmworkers There was an accident in Lake County Florida in which migrant farmworkers were killed in a van driven by a crew chief in about 1988 or 1989.
