Guest guest
Majeed, I'd like to say this gently, but I have to say it at this point. Over the last several months, many people in this group have given you good advice. You just don't seem to heed it. You have had it explained that the T4 is a misleading test, and you need a FREE t4 test, for instance. Elaine explained why. Many people have expended a lot of energy trying to help you, and I for one am becoming a bit frustrated, since it seems like you ask, and ask, and they don't do anything constructive with the information you get back. The problems you are experiencing remind me of the old blind men and the elephant story, you are not getting the full picture, so you are making (and having made for you by the medical people) decisions that have put you on a see-saw between (seemingly) hyper and (seemingly) hypo. Without the proper information, you simply can't figure out what is going on with your body, and without that information, I think a thyroidectomy would be, to again use a perhaps trite saying, like throwing the baby out with the bath water. Out of curiosity, where (what state) do you live? Are you in a city, where there might be a choice of endo's to pick from? Can you check the top doc's list and perhaps find someone with the intelligence to at least order proper testing? Sorry, again, to be perhaps a bit harsh. I just think this has gone on for a long time without any real help to you!
