Guest guest
Sher - I got thrush last month after being put back on steriods. I complained to the doc that the Nystatin is sooo nasty tasting. I gag really bad every time I have to use it. My doc told me there's a newer RX he can give me. It's called Clotrimazole. It's a lozenge that you suck on 4X a day. There's little to no taste and I've found that for me, it worked faster to clear the Thrush. Within 4 days it was gone. Guest guest
Nan... this Nystatin isn't so bad. I think it was about 4 days ago I started and I will use it two more days and then I can put one thing away. It's strange how some housing pays for utilities (I'm referring to D/E) and some don't. Must be the type of financing. We are in a HUD project but Section 8 is here too. No kids unless there is a disability and we have a couple of teens here. Ahhh well, back to one day at a time. Guest guest
It's my understanding that all HUD units are section 8. If a project has central heating tenants do not pay for heat nor do they pay garbage/trash pickup, water, sewer. Normally they pay for only for electricity. In such cases their utility allowance is small and the rent payment is larger. The more utilities they pay for, the larger the utility allowance and the small is the rent. Simply put, not matter who pays for what, the total payment is 30% of one's adjusted income. I have tenants whose income is so low I send them a check to help pay for utiltities. In rural areas where the population is less than 10,000, projects are sponsored by Rural Development, a part of the Department of Agriculture. Basically, they are very similar to HUD Section 8 projects. I have two project through HUD and two through Rural Development.
