Guest guest
Stopped travelling so much (has pluses and minuses) Bought a house near Atlantic ocean (good thing, nice to have a home base again) Try to visit beach every day and build up vitamin D reserve. ( really good thing) Don’t feel quite so bad about not wanting to do everything others want me to do. Guest guest
Bob The Atlantic Ocean covers a lot of ground. Would you care to narrow down where you've settled a little bit? I think the nomad traveling was probably fun but also makes settling with a home base enjoyable too. It seems common for couples to sell larger homes, hit the road for a year, two, or three and then settle somewhere with a smaller home (doesn't seem small after the road) and do occasional traveling thereafter. We love to travel, but we also love to come home. > > Stopped travelling so much (has pluses and minuses) > > Bought a house near Atlantic ocean (good thing, nice to have a home base > again) > > Try to visit beach every day and build up vitamin D reserve. Guest guest
Guess I did need to be a little more specific. We now live in Satellite Beach, FL, which is about 10 miles south of Cocoa Beach. Very nice laid back community, small house, small yard, (not a lot of maintenance effort required) & a place to park the motor home. We haven’t totally given up on the travel yet… How PF has improved my life Posted by: " Bruce Moreland " brucemoreland@... brucemoreland Fri Mar 27, 2009 2:05 pm (PDT) Bob The Atlantic Ocean covers a lot of ground. Guest guest
Pink Well, not way up....its a long state. Thats still 172 miles South of ville so roughly 200 miles from the very top of the state. Interesting perspective. Beth, in Durham, NC is closer to ville, FL than Key West, FL is. I drove once from Memphis to New York City. I drove over 500 miles from Memphis and I was still in the state of Tennessee. If you drive from Memphis to Philadelphia the midway point of your drive is Bristol, TN/VA, so half the drive is in one state. Texarkana, TX is closer to Chicago, IL than it is to El Paso, TX. In NC they use to talk about Manteo to because that was East to West on one two lane road. But, the point is that Manteo, NC is closer to New York City than it is to , NC. > > > > From: rcdopher rcdopher@ > > Subject: Re:How PF has improved my life > > To: Breathe-Support@ yahoogroups. com > > Date: Friday, March 27, 2009, 8:26 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Guess I did need to be a little more specific. Guest guest
Yep - there is a sign on I-20 at Roscoe where we head north on 84 to Lubbock that says 520 miles to El Paso. Now bear in mind that by the time we get to that sign from Shreveport we have been driving about 8 hours across I-20 at about 75 mph. We could drive from , MS, clear across Alabame and into Georgia to Atlanta in that amount of time. And having made that to Manteo trip one time, thanks but no thanks. Hope ya'll are having a pleasant evening. I'm personally thankful I'm not heading anywhere but over to my bed.
