I had an appt with my OB last Thursday, and I talked to him (again!) about it. I told him that I would dump if I drank 50g of glucose, but that the alternative fasting test would not work for me either, with my low blood sugar tests. He said we could skip the tests -- he's not worried about gestational diabetes, given my low blood sugar problems and my (pretty) good diet. He also said we would see with the growth scans if the baby was too big. I guess that's a way they can tell if there might be problems with gestational diabetes? Anyway, I was relieved. Thanks to those of you who gave me advice. I was glad to know that not all docs even give the tests for gestational diabetes. I definitely want to know if there's a problem, but I'm glad to know we can watch for it in other ways. Otherwise, everything is good. We have an appt on 3/4 for an ultrasound, and we're leaning toward finding out the sex, after initially thinking we wanted to be surprised. Hope everyone is doing well!
