Guest guest
Hello all, I had my CPAP titration study last night..It didnt go so well. The first mask she put on kept me awake for about an hour as it was blowing the air in my eyes, changed it the second one was so tight I lost feeling in my upper lip. By this time i had been up two hours. then she switched to a nose one not a mask..., it didnt work, switched to a fourth..I finally was so overtired I quit complaining and kept it even though it hurt. My nose and cheeks today feel as if they are bruised..my whole face hurts. Is this normal when you start? My second question is this. I was completely relaxed and not bothered at all by the force of the air coming in but I couldnt breath out and often felt as if I was drowning in air, I would have to pull it off for a second or two. Is this normal? I just didnt feel strong enough to blow the air back out. so now I wonder since I slept all of about a few hours broken if the doc reading it will think it helped or not. The reason she ordered ait is because the first one I had over 116 arousals and over 20 or so awakenings. since I was awake most of the night either hurting or drowning I wonder if she will think it didnt work. any thoughts
