Guest guest
I saw my PCP on Wed. afternoon and he was very concerned about my recurrent UTI's. I'm being treated now for my 9th one this year. I've had so many different bacteria's show up in my cultures, but my UA's are always clear. This time it's Klebsiella Pneumonia, but I've had everything from E-coli to Staph. I approached him about trying IVIG again since I do have a hypogammaglobuanemia Dx from an immunologist. My PCP said that IGG wouldn't help me because the majority of my UTI's are gram neg. with the exception of the staph. Is that true? I didn't know that IGG only helps with gram pos. infections. I'm being referred to an ID doc now. What would they be able to do? Insight appreciated. Thanks!
