Guest guest
Big bird out of the sky...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Tears in my eyes! I hear you loud & clear! EVERYBODY I KNOW apparently wore the DBB because they had " turn-in feet " . VERY DIFFERENT!!! I actually haven't gotten as many questions from strangers about the DBB as I did about the cast, which surprised me. But this 3 months is going VERY slowly. 2 weeks tomorrow. At least Ava adjusted well, I really feel for you guys who have trouble. 2 weeks would feel like 2 years. Also, I'm more than willing to share my phone # too. Just email me directly if anybody wants it. And one last thing...I have to say I just LOVE the way you guys from England write! All those " whilst " and " lovely " ...it's so cool! , mommy of: Guinevere, on, Ava 8/4/04 right CF DBB 23/
Guest guest
You mentioned people treating you differently with the DBB than the casts. It is true. I find that people are accepting of the DBB as it must be to fix a problem but when they saw an infant in a full leg cast, the assumption drifted to what I did to her to break her leg and require the cast. I got all kinds of looks when Kelsey was in a cast. I find the other people that tell me stories of pidgeon toes etc to basically be wanting to be helpful and I usually just smile and nod. When asked, I will provide a description of clubfoot but we just pretty much go about our lives and so far, we haven't been accosted too much. I know what you are saying about the past two weeks feeling like forever. I cannot wait for this 3 months to be over for Kelsey and for Ava.
