Guest guest Posted March 4, 2004 Report Share Posted March 4, 2004 Hi everyone. My name is and I had VBG on 7/16/03. I am 7 1/2 months post-op and have lost 127.5 pounds. Now that I got the intro out of the way....My husband and I are really wanting a child. I know I should wait at least a year after surgery, which is what I was going to wait anyways. But my question is, should I really wait longer, say until I get to my " goal " weight or is the minimum of one year good enough. I personally don't want to wait longer than a year, but if it would be the best choice, I would be willing to. I am 23 years old and this would be my first pregnancy, so all the advice I can get. I have no family here in Texas so I am kind of by myself on this one....Thanks in advance. 359/231/17? As for how long you should wait, my opinion is that a year should be sufficent but make sure you are where you want to be and your doctors are happy with your progress. Best wishes to you!!
