THanks for the information. It looks like to me in my efforts to

have a safe and effective recovery from WLS surgery, I might have

made an sabotaged my baby efforts! But, its done and there is

nothing I can do about it I guess. I dont now how to approach this

with my husband who thinks that within a few months, we will start

trying. I hate to tell him now, but I dont want to wait and burden

myself with this on my own. He has been very unenvolved in my WLS

saga. He is happy for me and we have a great marriage, but " this

isnt his thing, its mine " . He is happy I did it and he can see how

happy I am, but he doesnt really get too involved in whats going on

with the mechanics of it.

I did a lot of research on WebMD after I got the other posts about

Depo and most of the articles seem to say that my period should

return in 4-6 months. A couple said 3 months. This is what my doc

told me when I asked about changing to depo the month of my surgery.

I took my first shot December 1, 2003 and had surgery December 23,

2003. I had period on December and January and havent had one

since, so it took like two months to get in my system. About the

fertile part, I guess we will just have to wait and see, but I love

the idea of the ovulation strips.
