Hello to our family and friends,

Joe and I want to extend our thanks to everyone for the outpouring

of love, kindness and friendship at this time of great need.

Yesterday (1/29/04) labor was induced and our son, Devin ph

Hutchison was delivered at 4:07pm. We are very proud that we were

able to see him, hold him, and say goodbye to him over a period of 3

hours. He was beautiful even at 17 weeks. Fully developed, just

very tiny. He had Joe's feet and hands and of course Joe's

nose....it was a wonderful memory and we will never forget him. The

hospital staff and my obstetrician were supreme and I thank God for

them everyday. We now pray for healing and understanding. We did

find out that the baby's umbilical chord was abnormal (clamped

several times in different areas) and this may have cut off the

oxygen supply and nutrients that were vital to his living and

growth. Doctor has assured both Joe and I that this is very rare

and it had nothing to do with anything we did, ate or didn' t do.

He also stressed that this had absolutely NOTHING to do with my

gastric bypass surgery. We are still very much in shock, but we are

very happy to have the memories of Devin that we do. We know that

he is not suffering and he is in a beautiful place.

Thank You All, again, for ALL your outpouring support, love and

friendship.

All Our Love,

Joe, Jackie and girls

PS....we did tell the girls in the simplest terms, but of course,

they don't quite understand. In time they will.
