Guest guest
Hello, Those of you with older children who have had the ATTT (hope some are left in the group!) I have a question. had the operation when he was just barely 2 yrs. old. Now he is 6 1/2. Last night he woke up with the most awful pain in his feet and up in to his ankles. There has been no unusual activity that may have provoked this. Dr. Ponseti/Dr. Dietz warned me that when he entered the growth-spurt ages (between 6 and 8, then again in the teens) he could literally grow fast enough that it pulled that tendon loose. Of course with last night's episode I am concerned. Does anyone have experience with this? With the pain of growing feet after the ATTT, or with a tendon actually being pulled loose? He seemed fine this moring, but I would like any information available. Thank you, s.
