Guest guest Posted February 19, 2004 Report Share Posted February 19, 2004 Hi Everyone, I am new to this list although I have heard of it many time I personally thought that I would not be using it, But here I am, I found out on Friday the 13 that I am indeed pregnant with #4, Was this a shock? It is still sinking in. I am 8 months Post op(RNY) and was not planning on having any more kids I have 3 handsome boys and one equally handsome husband. I have my first Appointment today and am expected to have the 2 Hr GTT test done, I have been trying to search on this and have come across a few some say DONT do this, others say it is ok, I dont have Diabeties, I do have a problem with low blood sugar Since I am post op with it dropping in the mid to low 20's. I have so many questions running through my mind and not enough hours in the day to to sit and type, I am really nervous as I had to change insurance and we are now with Kaiser (Southren Ca--San to be more exact) and I sware they havent a clue when it comes to Gastric bypass, MY first Dr when I found out I was pregnant, Told me he had never heard of the term Gastric bypass (But he had of stomache stapleing) When I called the advise nurse yesterday (I think I have broncitis) And I told her I had had Gastric bypass, She actually asked where it was bypassed to. So I think I have good reason to be nervous. If there is is anyone in my Area whom would like to chat I would love to. please contact me.
