Guest guest
Hi All, I went to the doctors today. I am 17 weeks pregnant. All is well with the baby. They still think the baby is big for its age and said it's okay that I'm having Braxton hicks contractions so early as long as its not more than 4 in one hour. I found out I was passing keytones in my urine and they got all in a tizzy about that. They did a finger stick and my blood sugar was 90. I also almost fainted in the doctors office - don't know why.!!! They made me meet with their nutritionist and boy was that interesting. She kept saying that I shouldn't be dieting while I'm pregnant...which I am not doing. Then she kept telling me I need more calcium - dairy dairy dairy. My reply is I am lactose intolerant I cannot do that and the lactaid tablets don't work. Then she said I'm not eating enough and I feel I eat like a cow in comparison to when I first had the surgery almost 2 years ago. Then she kept getting confused about the lap band vs roux en y gastric bypass. I took about all I could and then told her I was tired of educating her about gastric bypass and the gastric bypass patient. I told her its not abnormal for us to lose weight. I told her I would see the nutritionist associated with my WLS doctor and I would not need to see her again. It was super irritating. They scheduled me for a diabetes test which takes an hour and involves an IV as opposed to the normal glucose drink. Has anyone else had this test? So that's all thats going on in my world....and I think that's quite enough! Chrystal Wife to Jace - together 6 Years! Happy Mommy to - 4 on January 28! New Baby Swenson Due July 28, 2004!
