Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I just want to introduce myself, I just found the group the other day. I am Kelli, I had GBS last May. Now I am down 110 lbs and happier and healthier than ever! 2 weeks ago I went to the Dr. thinking I had a " killer bladder infection " ...frequent urination, slight pain , the works. Well turns out ,no infection! Instead he tells me not only am I pregnant, but judging from the size of my uterus 22-24 weeks ! WTF!?!? You can imagine my surprise, especially since I have had regular menses up until late December. Not only that, I have 2 other children and after complications following the last in '99 , I was told by 3 specialist that there was a 99% chance I wouldn't conceive again. WELL , guess I was that 1%! LOL I am glad to have found this group, because I have been really concerned about the effects of GBS on the pregnancy. I hit what I thought was a plateau about 2 months ago after getting down 107 lbs and things haven't gone much further than that since. I am hoping that this will " fix itself " after the delivery?? I was also concerned about some of the meds and procedures that I have had in the last couple of months, not knowing that there was even a chance iwas pregnant. I have been taking meds for a gastric ulcer and had 3 dilatations done since October, although I don't think either should effect the baby , has anyone had any experience with these during pregnancy? Well, thanks for reading this long post, I look forward to " talking " to everyone soon, Kelli Gastric Bypass 5/13/03 down 107 lbs Mommy to 7 and Avery-Rose 4 EDD 6/14/
