, thanks for pointing that out (about the CoQ10 deficiency

being considered as a form of mito). That was what I believed...

but couldn't remember if it was actually listed anywhere handy.

It's pretty confusing to me - as the doctors are saying NOT a

mitochondrial disease (there's no evidence of any problem with the

mitochondria) and they're viewing my problem as metabolic disorder.

Unclear about whether the CoQ10 deficiency is primary or a secondary

problem brought on by another deficiency (carnitine?)

I was left with the impression that some doctors feel that metabolic

disorders can be a result of mitochondrial diseases -- OR they can

be the CAUSE of a problem in energy production and not be considered

a mitochondrial disease. Do you know if this is a common view of

most mito doctors -- or one of those issues that is disputed?

Thanks for trying to help me sort this out. I'm really not sure if

it matters very much what they call it. The treatment would

probably be the same mito cocktail with an increase of CoQ10.
