Guest guest
I too would be very hesitant. I would continue to keep him in the DBB until he's at least 3, but just at night. You have to do what you feel is right, but after all the relapses you read about, I feel it's better safe than sorry, especially when dealing with my childs feet. But I would bring your concerns up to your doctor and share with him what the ponseti method does. I realize my son's feet are extremely severe and we got a very late start with the Dr. Ponseti, but we have been told to expect to keep in his shoes at night at least until late 4's. After all the work you've put into getting his feet perfect, I would hate to see them relapse too. Oh! I agree with the trauma. I was bawling the whole way through removing the casts the first time, even with the vinegar it was awful! But you do what you gotta do! good for you for sticking with it. cried through just about every casting. He wouldn't take anything. By the time he was one, he would simply SEE Dr. Ponseti and and just start crying! hehe, smart little guy. But he made it, we made it, and we are one more step closer to walking! Lord bless you guys! atypical bl cf 10-09-
