Guest guest
Hi there everyone: My name is Jocelyn I live and work in Portland Maine. I had my gastric Bypass on November 26th 2002. It was done by Dr. Aslam in Augusta. I was 298 pounds at the time of the surgery. I have 6 disks in my lower spin that have collapsed or in some way disintegrated. I take chronic pain medications to deal with the pain cause by bone on bone. My husband and I found out that we were pregnant at 4 am in the am in the ER, after a week of extreme nausea. Well we soon found out my due date is March 8th 2003, I am currently 7+ months and have gained 20 pounds. I ended up getting a port placed in so that we could have IV feeding (TPN) due to the face I was keeping down less than 400 calories a day. And I lost 20 pounds in the first trimester. For the past 10 years I have owned my own home business due mainly to the fact that I can sit, stand, and lay in one position for long periods. We now have our wares in 38 stores in Canada, UK, France, Germany, and 1 in the US. And I have hired 3 at home moms in the US to work on projects. I love living in the US, I immigrated here just over 4 years ago when my husband and I moved from Scotland. Maine is a wonderful state to live in, we have four very unique seasons, Snow, mud, heat, sleet, or better know as winter, spring, summer, fall. We had over 2 feet of snow then it rained, 4 days latter the same. Over 4 feet of snow has been washed away in week. I must say when the snow is here it is very pretty. Well we are getting ready for Christmas, my husband and I walked to the back of our property and picked out our Christmas tree. We have decorated it in n candles and our clan tartan ribbons. My family is flying across the pond to stay for Christmas and wait till March for the baby. They have not seen me since before the gastric bypass. I am 157 with the pregnancy weight. We have finally settled on a name for our little girl. Lirael Lizbeth , we are all wondering how our pets will react. WE have 4 cats, 2 dogs, 4 horses, and 3 rabbits (until springs then they seam to multiply) Well hope to hear that everyone is doing well. I don't say much, but I read the list faithfully. Happy Holidays Jocelyn Gastric Bypass Nov 2002 EDD March 8th 2004
