Hello, friends

Someone posted this epic4 health notes on the safety of Vitamin E here

recently. Thank you. That got me stated thinking about it again.

I also think this Now site gives a nice summary of some of the details

of Vitamin E supplementation.

The question of mixed form of tocopherol is still in my mind. Qgel

comes with only d-alpha tocopherol. I am wondering if over the long run

it might be prudent to take Qgel in a form with less d-alpha tocopherol

and supplement with a mixed form of tocopherol also. Epic4Health does

have a all natural mixed tocopherol product. I am wondering if it is

worth the additional expense, and if their formulation is the best for

the mixed tocopherols. I haven't searched for other brands of mixed,

natural Vitamin E. I know Solgar makes one, but haven't compared the

composition of the various sub-forms. Another morning, maybe.

I also looked at prices of Qgel. At this time, Swanson (url below)

has it cheaper than the epic source. I compared the 100 mg dose.

Epic4Health is still a little more expensive, even when you order the

1000 size that Swanson's prices right now. Swanson does change their

prices, and it is now lowest that I have seen. I called them, (you can

talk to a customer service/resouce person - more information that the

person taking the phone order) and they assured me that the Qgel in

their product was gotten from Tischon. I am generally pleased with

Swanson products because they use ingredients formulated by USP methods

whenever they are available. (I hope I said that correctly - I am not a

chemist!)

Anyway, just wanted to share what I found about these two things.

Any info on the mixed tocopherols, and which might be best is welcomed

by me.

Regards all

Sunny
