Hi all. My name is Toi and I signed up for this group back in May

when I became pregnant only 5 months post RNY (malabsorption and oral

BC don't mix). I miscarried at 5 weeks and started using Ortho

Evra. The patch worked well for me and as soon as I got the dr's

permission to go off in November... BAM!!! Instant pregnancy. I am

now into my 7th week and we're praying for a healthy, successful, to-

term pregnancy... all those who wish to pray along with us are

welcome :o)

My first pregnancy I experienced slight tenderness in my breasts and

that is as far as my symptoms went. This pregnancy, however, is a

whole different ball game. My breasts (and even my armpits at times)

are EXTREMELY tender and sore most of the time, I'm having

abdominal " twinges " a few times per day, peeing often, fatigue,

and... the clincher... constant nausea. Now with my other two

pregnancies (Devin is 12 yrs old and Arinn was stillborn at 7 months -

autopsy showed no known cause so was written as SIDS) I remember

having the extreme fatigue and sore breasts but, other than a couple

of hours each evening, not the nausea and vomiting.

I guess what I am wondering is if any of you that had children pre-op

then post-op experienced more nausea post-op. I'm wondering if its

not my new, precious system that makes me more sensitive. I am

taking my vitamins as per doc, getting in the right amount of water,

and aside from allowing myself a few more carbs, am sticking to my

pre-pregnancy diet.. protein first, yada, yada, yada. I actually

feel really good immediately after eating and for at least an hour to

2 hours, then the nausea starts again. I feel like I will have to

eat constantly just to keep from getting sick.

Ok... I've yammered on enough. Hope you all enjoy a wonderful and

blessing filled holiday.

Toi
