We are flying in from overseas for a special consult with Dr.

Mankin in Raleigh / Cary NC. Has anyone had experience with this

doctor? Any recommendations on particular questions to ask?

Hello, Chris! I've never heard of Dr. Mankin, though I see that he's

listed on the POSNA.org website. Is there a particular reason that

you're going to see this doctor? What treatment has your child has

for clubfoot thus far? Is his foot corrected, or relapsing/having

issues? Are you trying to use the Ponseti method of treatment?

If you're traveling to the North Carolina region for a reason, I

would suggest taking your son to this doctor for the Ponseti method:

Since your son is one year old and I'm not sure if you're just doing

a general " check up " or if you're trying to assess some particular

problem, then I'm not sure what recommendations to make as far

as " questions for the doctor " go.

If you are willing, please share a little more info with us about

your son's foot and your purpose for the trip.
