Guest guest
Hi Chrystal... I don't think you're over reacting at all!! I'd be having the same thoughts, feelings, etc, as you if I were in your shoes. I would DEMAND that the doctor take better care of you. Unfortunately, I don't know how much they listen to demands. Can I ask where you live and which hospital you're going to?? Have you considered a Midwife?? I have no experience with being pregnant (TTC #1 here...and start my first--and hopefully last--cycle of clomid this afternoon), so I'm not an expert. All I know is that I've had friends who have used obgyns with their first and then changed to midwives and they LOVED the midwives because they got personal care. I live in a pretty small town just outside the Twin Cities (St. /Minneapolis), but I've been blessed to have an incredible obgyn. I know he'll deliver any baby I might have, unless, of course, he's on vacation. The cool thing about that is that I know most of the other doctors at the hospital, so I don't really have to worry too much about not knowing the doctor who delivers my baby. I've heard that in larger hospitals it's pretty common though to not really know for sure who will be there to do the delivery, which seems really silly to me. I know this email hasn't really helped, but just know that I think you have every right to demand exactly what you want from your medical staff. For what you pay, you have EVERY RIGHT!!! Hope all goes well. Peace... Melody
Guest guest
I am going to Women and Infants Hospital in Providence Rhode Island where they came up with the Quad Marker Test and did the first Interuterine Blood Transfusion and a bunch of other stuff...Its supposed to be a good hospital. They have an ER for women only. But when I went to the ER last time my doctor was abou 25 years old and giggled at me......And he was a man. I don't trust giggling male doctors.
