We are accomplishing great things here! I found my copy of

Dr.Levesque's prescription and lo and behold! heels are to be

shoulder width apart, and 10 degree bend in bar towards patient.

What we have is heels 3 1/2 inches and a pronounced rocker bottom

bend in bar AWAY from patient. Can't set him down as he rocks!

I phoned the surgeon's office and they will back up my protest with

Custom Orthotics.

IRONY? It's Dr. Carey who didn't identify with my 23 hours/3 months

expectation and stated: " only at night and maybe naps because he's

so big " . I did protest this and was made to feel foolish and as if

I thought my baby had some big deal going on when it was only a

routine little run of the mill easy-fix. And Dr. Carey's office are

the people who I called to ask for the recommended orthotic supplier

here in London. quote: " Who do you refer your club-feet babies to as

I want to go to a place where they do this on a regular basis so

there won't be any difficulty. " However, I am sure that there are

lots of parents who have had great experiences here - and the family

I met in the waiting room don't " blame " the surgeons here (we all

know there are some resistant cases). They didn't even say anything

negative, just asked me to call with my response after our first

visit. When I told her I felt the attitude was casual, she shared

that that was her complaint. I haven't talked with her subsequently

so maybe I'll call her and encourage her to check with this site for

encouragement.

I have had agreat time exploring the site and notice that the

buckles are sometimes on the inside? Is this any advantage? Also

learned it's important to have heels down... 's toes are

right to the end of the shoe on his unaffected foot. Should we have

gone a size longer? The little foot has toes to the edge of the

tongue so it was hard to decide.

Thanks again,

Margaret
