Hi mIsty, I had read on this group in past posts that this will be over once

the baby is born. I guess our bodies are just craving these things. I think

the most important part is not to get into the habit of any junk food, like

sweets, cakes and cookies, chips, ect. I am hoping it will pass since I have not

gotten to my goal yet.

I am glad I am not the only one who is freaking out about how much I

can eat. I was in shock the other day when I ate a whole hamburger

from BK (minus the top bun) I too have reached my goal and was on my

way to have my tummy tuck (was scheduled for today)when I found out I

was pregnant. I am now 10 months post op and 10 weeks pregnant. I

have not gained any weight, actually have lost another 4lbs according

to my scale at home. The doc scale is 2lbs higher than mine at home.

I too am worried about wasting this tool I was given. I never want

to go back to the person I was.

Thanks for listening to me.

It is so nice to know I am not alone.! I can eat and eat and eat I know I

need more food for baby but I get so scared that I am over doing it I am

going to wreck this wonderful tool and go back to being fat after the baby-

I say to all my friends I was never Hungry after surgery but after I got

pregnant I am hungry most of the time!.. I am 19+ weeks pregnant and have

not gained a pound but I still worry about the amount of food I eat will

stick with me after the baby and I won't get to goal- I had WLS Jan 10 2003

I was 313 pounds and I am now 158 My goal is 145 Good Luck to all of you.!

Hugs,

Michele

I am with you! I, too, was in the process of having a TT. I was

going to the dr documenting my rashes and such so I could get

insurance to approve it, then I found out I was pregnanyt! I am now

9 weeks along. My food volume has increased the further I have

gotten out of surgery, but even more so now! I know that I need to

eat to feed the baby (this is my 2nd child, my son is 9 yrs old) and

I have been eating BUT I am scared of not being able to lose what I

gain once I have my baby. I am not being selfish & trying to diet,

just struggling with these new issues regarding gaining weight.

Heck, I just got within 3 pounds of my goal weight in December on WW

after losing 20 pounds over 9 months so I want to pout for a bit!!

haha I did get well below my goal weight after surgery but had

a " bouce " due to reverting back to old habits. I am 3+ years out and

this surgery has been one of the best things that I have ever done...

besides having my son and soon to be marrying my fiancee!! :)

Take care,

Ivy (AKA Jake's mom)

I hope I only gain what is needed to have a healthy baby. I dont

want to sound selfish or anything, but now that I have been given a

chance to be thin\healthy, I dont want to go back. Does that make

sense? Have you read from anyone how hard it is to loose after the

baby?
