Guest guest
Hi - I am so glad I found this site. I am a member of Obesityhelp.com and several people refered me to this group. It is so comforting to see other people having healthy pregnancies. I know even on this board that not many people get pregnant quite as soon as 3 months but I have seen some. I am now 4 mo post op & 6 weeks pregnant. I just went today for my HCG quant and progesterone level screen blood work. 6 yrs ago I got pregnant quite quickly and unexpectedly with our 1st son. He was born in Dec 97' After he was born I got 1 depo shot so I would not get pregnant " right " away. But we did want to have our kids close together. God had other plans. I was diagnosed with PCOS after Matt was born. It took about 2 1/2 yrs to get pregnant again and that included having my fallopian tubes flushes, my ovaries " drilled " and taking several rounds of clomid and glucophage. Unfortunately I lost that baby due to a trisomy 16 (Gene problem). I also had a progesterone difficency and probably could not have sustained that pregnancy anyway as they like the prog. level above 30 & my was a 7. After the miscarriage, which was very hard - somehow I never thought about how hard something like that would be, now that I've experienced it, well I don't wish it on anyone. Anyway - that was late September 00' The day I dreaded more then anything was April 23rd, the due date of the baby I'd miscarried. I prayed so hard to God to let me be pregnant before that day came as I did not know how I'd bear the hollowness. In Jan we started clomid again and up the dosage. I got pregnant in March and was born Dec 01' My WLS was on October 15th 2003. I've lost approximately 75 lbs. We did not use a formal methosd of BC because I honestly assumed we'd have to try at least a little to get pregnant again after everyrthing we went thorugh to have . We avoided sex around my ovulation times but obviously that was not enough. My biggest fear is making sure the baby is nutritionally sound. I don't know how many calories I need to consume - and How I will get them in. I assume I'll do it with protein shakes. After that my concerns lay with myself and everything I am putting my body through. How will the weight loss work now? How much harder will this make losing weight - will I ever get below 200 now? lol. This is already more information then you need but if you want my " full " story it is journaled on OH http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=V1068352105 I wish everyone a healthy pregnancy.
