Sorry to hear you are having a hard time.

If you go to the files section and look in the folder " Bracing File,

FAB (DBB) there is a document I wrote on such a subject.

Hope this is of some use.

Don't give up is my advice, my baby's feet look absolutely

fantastic. He has a " hiccup " now and again but we just take these in

our stride.

Hi... my son, now 8 months, still finds a way to occassionally pull his feet out

of one of his shoes. He uses his left foot as a " lever " and pushes down really

hard and the right foot just pops out. He thinks this is funny... I don't

laugh!!! Obviously, I know your frustration, as it is not easy getting the shoe

back on again. I make them as tight as possible and his feet are usually red for

a few minutes when I take them off, but this is the only way I can get him to

keep them on. But once every few days, he still gets one off.

I'm not sure if you've tried this or not but it's worth a shot:

When you're putting the shoes on, make sure that you bend the knee

and dorsiflex the foot so that you're able to push the heel all the

way to the back of the shoe. While in this position, tighten the

strap as tightly as possible. For a while at the beginning, I was

forgetting to do this and was putting the shoes on while Owen had his

legs straight and his feet in the neutral (L shape) position. It

didn't matter how tight the strap was when I fastened the shoe -

since he still had a bit of space between his heel and the back of

the shoe, he was able to manouvre his foot out when he wanted to just

by pointing his toes and pulling.
